in 1914, Dr.Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital
is committed towards controlling and reducing
the levels of avoidable blindness in the community
all across North India. Towards this, it is
always willing to join hands with like minded
individuals, NGO’s and Institutions
to build and strengthen capacity and create
self-sustaining eye care mechanisms.
The enormity of the problem
and the need for collaborative efforts is
perhaps best underscored by the fact that
the current levels of 15million “avoidably
blind” are slated to rise to 20 million
by 2020.
Today, Dr.Shroff’s
charity eye hospital is considered one of
the best super- speciality eye care institutions
in North India with a workforce of more
than 200 medical and administrative personnel.
It operates out of 5 locations:
New Delhi; Alwar(Rajasthan); Rewari(Haryana),
Ballabgarh(Haryana), Gurgaon(Haryana) and
Manali(Himachal Pradesh).
The
specialities that it offers are:
General ophthalmology; Cataract, Cornea(including
contact lens and LASIK); Vitreo-retina,
Glaucoma, Oculoplasty, Paediatric-Ophthalmology
and Strabismus, Vision Rehabilitation and
Vision Enhancement.
