This course
has been designed to enhance
eye care services in the community.
The Vision Technician, once
trained, shall be able to provide
primary eye care in the community,
detect and diagnose common eye
diseases and refer patients
for appropriate management.
He/she will be able
to refract, prescribe and provide
spectacles to the patients.
During the duration of the course,
the trainees will be provided
stipend, accommodation, study
material and food.

Year. Divided
into two semesters.
First semester
will be theory
and second semester
practical training
will be given.
Session
commences
February
and August every
year.
Eligibility
Criteria
12th
Pass (preference
will be given
to science background
candidates).
Selection
Through
interview.
Application
procedure
This
course is only
open for candidates
who are sponsored
by INGO’s,
eye hospitals,
private sector
eye care professional
or other organizations.
Interested candidates
are requested
to submit their
bio-data and photocopy
of certificates.
Course
fees
Candidate
or the sponsor
will have to pay
the amount of
Rs 60,000/- through
the Demand Draft/Cheque/Cash
in the favour
of Dr.
Shroff’s
Charity Eye Hospital.
